The school takes its name from ancient Buddhist Scripture. Amitabha also known as Amitayus according to scriptures of Mahayana Buddhism is a celestial Buddha. Amitabha means “Infinite Light” and Amitayus means “Infinite Life” so Amitabha is also called “The Buddha of Immeasurable Light and Life”.

Amitabha School was founded in 2015 with a small group of students. Over the years, it has grown exponentially and now has an enrollment of nearly 300 students from Pre-K to 5. The school takes its name from the ancient Buddhist scripture, Amitabha also known as ‘Amitayus’. Amitabha means “Infinite light”. So, Amitabha is also called the ‘Buddha of Immeasurable light and life’.
The school’s founding principle is incapsulated in its motto-“In freedom we soar”, which emphasizes the importance of providing a learning environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential. At Amitabha, students are encouraged to learn, explore and discover without fear. This is achieved by creating a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive environment, where students are surrounded by love, kindness, and hope. This enables each student to build their confidence, develop their talent and pursue their passion in a safe and stimulating environment.

XSEED EDUCATION CURRICULUM
We follow XSEED curriculum which is designed to help students learn the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. We focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration and creativity. Our goal is to prepare students for a rapidly changing world. We follow the XSEED curriculum, a proven and research-based academic program for schools that builds thinking skills & problem-solving confidence in children. In the class, we follow a 5 steps methodology which is AIM, ACTION, ANALYSIS, APPLICATION and ASSESSMENT. Every class starts with a mention of the aim of the class, followed by planned activities to experience concepts first-hand, understand their use, and apply them in life. Teachers then facilitate the class to analyze the activity by reflecting on the experience. Every session ends with applying the learnt knowledge in the workbook to solidify understanding and getting assessed by the teacher.
